WORK EXPERIENCE:

• Currently a valued member of the RMI Medical team providing Medical Support Services (MSS) to personnel employed on the OML-79, 77 and 74 Shallow Water Offshore 3D OBN Seismic Data Acquisition Project with BGPO an offshore subsidiary of the Chinese National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC). BGPO’s client is the Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC) who are carrying out the survey on behalf of the Nigerian government. Deployed to one of the 4 main vessels of the seismic fleet, Ocean Sea as Onboard Doctor.
• In addition to routine primary care/sick-call and emergency cover, I also carry out other health-related activities, such as health promotion, First Aid training, emergency practice drills, performing routine inspections and random drug and alcohol testing.
• Tracking and evaluating clinical data by analyzing records, reports and examination findings to help diagnose patient conditions.
• Liaising with onshore facilities such as RMI Topside/GCC (Global Communications Centre) and if need be, initiate a medical evacuation in accordance with the RMI Project Medical Emergency Response Plan (MERP) and Client Emergency Response Plan (ERP).

• I also work collaboratively with the QHSSE, vessel & client command structure and crew to prevent injury and implement all safety policies, attaining GOAL ZERO (no loss of human life, no permanent disabilities and no spillage or damage to the environment).
